The rear of the house facing the beach was completely removed and a large living room and kitchen were added to the ground floor. The first-floor addition has a master bedroom, deck and large ensuite all with views to die for.
The bedrooms on the first floor have been reconfigured and a new single stair stringer with timber treads and stainless handrail links the treads together.
The ground floor has a tongue and groove hardwood floor laid throughout and its use of louvre windows and large stacker doors has now taken full advantage of the flawless views.
On the ground floor, the wall and ceiling junctions have been square set modernising the living areas.
In order to keep the budget down the renovations were designed to marry into the existing style of the house using face brick and standard roof tiles. Introducing some modern cladding, render panels and stainless steel balustrading transformed the old project home into a modern, stylish and robust beachfront beauty.
