Step back in time with this 60s home. The brief from the client on this build was an easy ask for Stringer Building Services as this genre is what we love to do โ€” keeping in with the existing 60s appearance and style whilst creating a seamless extension.

This seamless flow starts in the entry foyer with a custom-designed stone wall that greets you and sends out those vibes of a luxurious bygone era. Your eye is then drawn to the raked ceilings with classic VJ lining boards, the matching round cane furniture invites that glamorous feel to keep drawing you in.

Polished wooden floors lead you on a journey throughout the house taking you into the ‘kitsch’ kitchen, living, and bedrooms domains.

The wet areas offer even more to the senses with eye-popping tiled floors and the light blue hues of beauty and grace.

The site ventured up difficult access with the steep block giving way to some hurdles, but collaboration and ingenuity kept the build on track.

Beyond the living space and out onto the new deck the views are exceptional and the relacing undertones of a lazing day watching the world go by can be experienced. The louvered shutters help to encourage the sea breezes to glow on through whilst also giving the occupants privacy.

The owner and creative artist of this home had many ideas and was instrumental in the overall design.
