Downstairs boasts beautifully polished concrete floors and a large entertainment room for the kids.

Upstairs Australian hardwood flooring seamlessly flows throughout the home to provide the warmth and character reminiscent of the old beach house that gave way to the new one.  Large stacker doors lead out to a hardwood decked entertaining balcony with glass balustrade to provide uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean.

The owners, Troy and Alison Stanger, wanted a house that offered low maintenance, simplicity, functionality and timeless style.

Raked ceilings provide great airflow and a feeling of space, the use of hand-pitched open visual trusses gives the upper level a robust feel. It has Australian hardwood stairs with a handcrafted hardwood entry door.  Some integrated furniture from Grandma’s original 1950’s beach house was also used.

The exterior of the house has been finished with Hardie’s fibro weatherboards which are extremely durable for beachfront conditions and adds to that timeless appearance.

A triple drive-through garage leading to the rear man shed provides plenty of room for all the vehicles.

Mat Stringer of Stringer Building Services turned our forever dream home into a reality. Quality materials, tried and tested tradesman, and fastidious attention to detail ensured first-grade workmanship throughout the entire build. We could not be happier with the end result and would highly recommend Mat and his team for your next project.
